The Maize is an original 10 page comic created for the 2025 First Graphic Novel award. The story follows a young girl in a world of fantastical animals, running away from home to save her pet Maygoose from being sold.

This was a super ambitious project, both in the number of pages, and how much I pushed the action, composition, and creative panelling in each page. I'd love to revisit this universe in a future project.
